Upon completion of the course, you will receive a TEFL certificate direct from OISE at the University of Toronto. A course advisor will first email you to confirm your name and address.
Your name should match your travel documents (i.e. passport).
Then, your digital certificate will issued and sent to you by email 1-2 weeks after you have completed the course. You can use your digital copy to apply to the vast majority of teaching jobs.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 global crisis, physical certificates are only issued once per month on the last week of every month.
A physical certificate will be sent to the address on file by standard mail. All certificates will be sent via Canada Post and mailing times vary according to your proximity Toronto, Ontario, Canada. For more information on mailing times, please visit the Canada Post website.
You will receive an email the day your certificate is mailed. If you do not receive your certificate after 20 business days or if there is an error on your certificate, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
