The difference between certification and endorsement.
Endorsements on your teaching license indicate which subject areas and grade levels you are qualified to teach.
What is the difference between an endorsement and certification?
Teacher Certification
A teacher certification provides an individual with licensure to teach. This can be earned by completing a traditional undergraduate program or through a state-approved alternative certification, like TCP.
Teaching Endorsement
Endorsements on a teaching license indicate which subject areas and grade levels you are qualified to teach. An endorsement is the area in which a teacher is certified to teach, i.e. elementary, special education, etc. While subject endorsements apply to a specific area, such as science, math, English. etc.
