What curriculum is used?

TCP has synthesized three sets of standards/frameworks in the development of curriculum and overall course structure:

  • AAQEP Quality Standards

The Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation Expectations Framework (2018), addresses both candidate performance and program practices. TCP is aligned with the AAQEP stance that there are accepted educator fundamentals that must be considered and assessed during an Educator Preparation Program.

  • InTASC (HTSB Teacher Performance Standards)

The Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) outlines what all teachers, across all content and grade levels, should know and be able to do in order to be effective in today’s learning contexts.

  • Danielson Framework for Teaching

The Danielson Framework for Teaching provides a research-based set of components for instruction (also aligned to inTASC).
