How do I check the status of my application?

Tracking your application on the Teach Away website

You can check the status of your application from your teacher profile at any time.

Status updates include: “Submitted”, “Under Review”, “Attempting Contact” or “Closed”.

  1. Login to your Teach Away profile:
  2. Go to the "Dashboard" section of your Teach Away profile
  3. Look under the "Applications" heading. You will be able to view all of your submitted applications and their current status here.

If your applications status is "submitted" – you have applied for a job and your application will be reviewed by a Placement Coordinator or the school directly. All applications are reviewed, but when they are, the status of them will not necessarily change in your dashboard.

If your application status is "closed" – this indicates that your application was reviewed and did not meet the requirements of the job posting, that the position had already been filled by another candidate or that the school decided not to move forward with your application. We encourage you to continue applying to other positions on our jobs board.

If your application meets the requirements of the job posting – our Placement Coordinators will be in touch with you via email for a pre-screen interview for all non-"Direct to School" jobs. Due to the volume of applications we receive each day, we do not contact applicants if they are denied. Our advice is to keep an open mind, to apply, and to keep checking your application status on your profile.

Please note: for "Direct to School Jobs", all communication happens directly with the school and application updates will not be available through your profile.
