Do schools provide housing and will I have to share with others?

This completely depends on the school and the country. Most schools will either provide accommodation, help teachers find housing or get teachers subsidized housing. Middle Eastern and Asian countries are among the best for taking care of accommodation for teachers.

In some cases, shared accommodation is provided, where you will room with other teachers. In this case, you will have your own room but will share common areas such as the kitchen, living room, bathroom, and laundry facilities.

You will be able to see if a school provides accommodation under the "Job Benefits" section in a job posting.
