# Is it possible to teach abroad with a friend or partner?

Teaching with a partner or friend is possible and we welcome applications from couples and friends looking to teach abroad together. However, it’s worth keeping in mind that placement together is never guaranteed.

Your best option would be to apply to the same positions (where multiple vacancies are available) or to the same school and to mention to your Teach Away Placement Coordinator or the school you are communicating with that you want to teach with a partner or friend.

Please be advised that if you are not married, you will not be able to live together in some countries (such as the UAE) but certain programs will place you near each other. Plenty of unmarried couples and friends teach together abroad with no issues.
