# I don't have a bachelor's degree. Am I eligible to apply for jobs on Teach Away?

Most teach abroad jobs require a Bachelor's degree, but some do not. Different parts of the world have stricter requirements than others.

Candidates without a degree will go up against candidates who do so here are some ways to remain competitive:

1. **Get a recognized ESL certificate (such as TEFL)**. This goes a long way towards securing a teach abroad job. Check out our online **[TEFL certification](https://www.teachaway.com/courses/teacher-certification)** courses for a quick and easy way to get qualified.
2. **Volunteer to get teaching experience.** The hours spent helping out at an ESL summer camp will boost your profile when you apply for paid positions.
